Fayetteville State University BS Sociology & BS Professional Studies

Why do you enjoy working at ANLTS?
It is a family environment, not just a workplace, where everyone desires to see our clients progress.

What do you like about working with kids?
Children have the purest hearts. They can learn anything and as adults we can learn from them also.

What made you want to work with kids?
As a mother of 4 children, I enjoy being around children. I love their energy and free spirits.

Why do you enjoy working with children diagnosed on the ASD spectrum?
I feel that children with ASD are often misunderstood and misrepresented. I believe that all children with ASD can accomplish goals and are special and unique. Watching children with ASD try so hard to accomplish things that most of us take for granted, motivates me in my own life. I believe every milestone a child reaches should be celebrated, regardless of how big or small.

What are some of your professional accomplishments?
In school to get my Masters Degree in Psychology with a specialization in Applied Behavioral Analysis at Capella University. Former EMT Paramedic.
Is there something that you would like the public to know about you?
Working in this field is not just a job to me. Working with special needs children is what I am passionate about. I have a child diagnosed with autism and another child diagnosed with ADHD. I understand the struggles of special needs children on professional level and also from the parental side.

I want to be a BCBA one day!
