A New Leaf

A native of Loudoun County, Virginia, Kelly graduated from University of Hawaii at Manoa with her bachelors of science in Family Resources in May 2012.  Kelly was an active member of Friends of Family Club, an intern at Ronald McDonald House Charities of Hawaii, and later was hired as a night manager at the Oahu Avenue House.  Kelly completed her Masters of Social Work from University of North Carolina at Pembroke in May 2015.  During her first year, Kelly was the Victim Advocate intern at the Child Advocacy Center in Fayetteville, North Carolina.  Kelly was an active member of the Social Work honor society, Phi Alpha Iota Iota as well as the chapter President from Fall 2014 to Spring 2015.  Kelly was in the first cohort of students to be accepted as a distinguished scholar into the integrated behavioral health scholar program during which she was an intern with A New Leaf Therapeutic Services PLLC, under Amy Johnson. Kelly spent endless hours shadowing the Applied Behavior Analysis program learning all she could as from her superiors.  Kelly has always had a passion for working with children and helping each child excel to their fullest potential. Upon graduation with her MSW in May 2015, Kelly accepted a position as a Registered Behavior Technician with A New Leaf.  Kelly has been with A New Leaf for the past year and a half.  Kelly is currently pursuing her dreams to become a Board Certified Behavior Analyst as she is enrolled in the M. Ed. Instruction and Curriculum (Applied Behavior Analysis) program from Arizona State University.  Kelly enjoys each day working with the children she works with and watching them grow!
