Where did you go to school and what degree(s) do you hold?
I attended Capella University where I obtained a Masters in Education and a certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis
Why do you enjoy working at ANLTS?
I enjoy working in an environment where I can prosper and develop my skills as an RBT in the company of others that have the same passion.
What do you like about working with kids?
As an early educator, I get enjoyment from knowing that I have made an impact on a child regardless how big or small. I like to help kids develop learning skills and character traits that will benefit them as they grow.
What made you want to work with kids?
As a young adult I worked at a Before and After school program for five years as a Site Director. I then decided to open up a childcare facility of my own. I was in business for 15 years, during my fifteen years in the early educators' profession I've built relationships with children and their families that have impacted me.
Why do you enjoy working with children diagnosed on the ASD spectrum?
It is highly enjoyable helping children on the spectrum reach their full potential. It is a job that is meaningful and fulfilling.
What are some of your professional accomplishments?
I've owned a childcare facility for 15 years, during my fifteen years in the early educators' profession I've become a Level 3 Administrator, I hold a Level 11 Early Educators certificate and also a CDA advisor/representative for the Council for Professional Recognition. I am a Registered Behavior Technician working towards becoming a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.
I want to be a BCBA one day!
